“Our collection of data is meaningless unless you can actually aggregate it, analyze it, and make it actionable,” Jamie Womack, CareerBuilder’s vice president of marketing and branding, told participants of yesterday’s ‘Big Data, Big Deal’ webinar.
The hour-long webinar (now available for download) deals with how companies can use data to narrow in on key talent and develop strategic workforce plans for sustainability and success.
Joining Womack are Kelly Services VP, Talent Supply Chain Strategist Jon Healy and Rob Sentz, vice president of marketing at EMSI, who demonstrate how companies can make sense of big data and leverage it to enhance their businesses.
While big data has become somewhat of a buzzword (“Google the term, and you’ll see over two billion results…there is literally big data around big data,” says Womack), that doesn’t take away from its status as a “game-changer” for organizations – particularly when it comes to strategic workforce planning.
The question, then, is not, “Is data valuable?” but, “How do we refine the data that’s available, find value in it and make it actionable?” And that’s exactly the question Womack, Healy and Sentz address in the webinar, which also includes:
