More Women Than Men Hold the Two Highest Paid Job Positions

talent statisticsDespite the widely known statistic that, on average, women are paid less than men, new research indicates that women make up the majority of workers in the two U.S. occupations with the highest average compensation rate.

According to CareerBuilder and Economic Modeling Specialists, Int (EMSI), women make up 57 percent of all oral & maxillofacial surgeons and orthodontists in the U.S.

When taking into consideration the top 15 occupations with the highest average pay, however, the findings are a little more sobering: women dominate in only four out of those 15 and represent only 3 percent of workers in three.
