Only 20 Percent of Employers are Prepared for a Population Shift

Health care studyThere’s no avoiding the ‘aging population shift’ that is happening right now: as the large number of baby boomers grow older, their needs for better, more frequent health care are increasing. Yet according to new research study, only a fraction of health care employers are prepared for the changes necessary to provide sufficient care for these patients.

This finding comes from CareerBuilder’s recently released study, The Care Crunch: 2013 Health Care Trends, a comprehensive look at the current state of the current health care situation in the U.S. and the implications of a health care staffing shortage.

As Jason Lovelace, president of the CareerBuilder Healthcare Group, indicates in the video below, health care organizations need to start thinking more strategically about the way they recruit the health care talent they need to overcome new and future industry challenges.
