Big Strides in Small Business Award

Congratulations to Netgain Technology, Inc. for winning CareerBuilder’s 2nd annual Big Strides in Small Business Award, which recognizes small businesses that are doing a particularly spectacular job of empowering employment in their local communities.

Netgain, an information technology outsourcing company based in St. Cloud, MN, was founded to provide a ‘better way’ of implementing, maintaining, and supporting technology for businesses who were not in the business of technology.

Netgain’s Commitment to Empowering Employment

Netgain embodies the mission to empower employment on several fronts. In addition to serving on committee boards at local colleges in order to help ensure the skills students are learning are relevant and in demand in today’s market, Netgain also donates time, talent, food and other resources for the Central Minnesota IT Users Group, a collaboration of local education events that provide a healthy learning environment for IT professionals.

In addition to empowering the local community, the company also empowers its employees to contribute, pays for 20 hours of each employees’ time to go out and give back to the community in some way – street cleanup, habitat for humanity, or any other service they find to be beneficial to the local area.

“Netgain Technology is making huge strides to combat our country’s challenge of the widening skills gap,” says Jessica Ribish, CareerBuilder’s small business marketing manager at CareerBuilder, of what makes Netgain stand out. “They invest heavily in the professional development of all their current employees and they’re also going the extra mile in their community by working with local colleges to make sure students have the technical skills required to be successful in today’s workforce – they’re truly empowering employment.”

Learn more about Netgain’s story in its award-winning video below, and then watch out for an upcoming Q&A with Netgain’s founder, Scott Warzecha.
