There are only so many hours in the day, and with so much noise on social networking sites, it’s not always easy to catch the good stuff.
You have a full-time job, too. While you’re in a meeting about recruitment marketing strategies, some “thought leader” is on the Internet telling you what she had for breakfast. (I’m guilty of that. Sorry.)
I’ve rounded up some of the best recruiting advice and guidance I’ve seen on Twitter since the beginning of the year. I’ll spare you the details of what I had for breakfast, and instead share the best insights from market leaders in the recruiting industry.
First up, I laughed out loud when I read this tweet from Vala Afshar. It was a straight up LOL combined with a LMAO. In 2010, Uber’s CEO was recruiting talent for his new company on Twitter. I wonder how social recruiting worked out for that company?

I told my husband that if I ever go missing, Carmen Hudson is the woman to find me. She’s a sourcing expert, recruiting leader and an astute observer of how politics and pop culture intersect with the world of talent acquisition. Check out this tweet about everything that matters.
